ATLANTA, GA (BUCKHEAD – LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY) - A warm, close-knit family in the Kingswood neighborhood of Buckhead is seeking a FULL-TIME NANNY/HOUSEHOLD MANAGER for a long-term, live-out role beginning August 3, 2026. After more than six wonderful years with their current nanny, the family is hoping to find someone equally special to step into a trusted, lasting partnership. They are seeking a patient, kind, intelligent, and low-key professional who blends seamlessly into the home with calm energy, good judgment, and a genuine desire to help.
The family has two sweet and curious children: a 6-year-old daughter entering first grade and a 3-year-old son entering preschool. Both children attend school five days per week; the younger child is dismissed at 1:00 PM and the older at 3:00 PM. Afternoons are filled with extracurricular activities requiring safe, reliable transportation and thoughtful coordination. A dependable vehicle is required for school and activity transport, with mileage reimbursement to be discussed as part of the overall compensation package.
This role is a true nanny/household manager blend. Responsibilities include school pick-ups, activity coordination, cooking and meal prep for the children (and light family cooking), grocery shopping, children’s laundry, daily tidying of children’s rooms and play areas, closet and playroom organization, packing and unpacking for trips, and assisting with light household tasks such as unloading the dishwasher and ironing when needed. The family would especially value a nanny who is comfortable in the kitchen and can confidently contribute to weekly meal planning and grocery management, adding meaningful value to the home in this area. An “all hands on deck” approach to food, kids, and carpool is essential.
The parents are highly involved and value a peaceful, easygoing presence in their home. They are seeking a good vibes professional who is non-judgmental, steady, discreet, and drama-free, and who takes constructive feedback well while maintaining strong boundaries and professionalism. Flexibility is extremely important. The nanny must be willing to accommodate occasional overnight coverage during parent travel, both weekday and weekend, as well as weekend evening babysitting when needed. The family typically travels over Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s, and is away for approximately three weeks in June. Some PTO will align with family travel, and additional paid vacation time will be discussed. There is one week in Aspen annually and occasional couples’ weekends, during which overnight support may be requested. During extended summer trips of approximately 10 to 14 days, the nanny will remain home.
The household includes one calm and affectionate 5-year-old golden retriever, so comfort with pets is required. An NDA will be part of the employment agreement. A flu shot is heavily preferred (though not strictly required).
The family is offering competitive compensation of $30/hr gross via payroll, commensurate with experience, paid via payroll. Benefits include industry-standard paid time off and paid holidays. Any additional benefits will be discussed with qualified candidates. The family is eager to build a long-term relationship with a steady, capable professional who truly enjoys supporting children and contributing to a well-run home.
