Salary Range $16.50 - $140/Hourly (Budgeted Hiring Salary Range $16.50 - $18.00/Hourly)

Work Schedule Hours to be arranged, on-call; no-exempt classification. Temporary position ends on/or before June 30, 2026; may be extended.

Essential Functions Under the supervision of the Facilities & Events Manager, the Athletics Facilities & Events Assistant supports the execution of home athletic events by ensuring a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for participants and spectators in alignment with NCAA, conference, and University standards. Responsibilities include event setup and breakdown, monitoring access points, assisting with game operations (such as public address announcing, scoreboard operation, ticketing, and in-game promotions), and supporting health, safety, and compliance protocols required for NCAA competition. The position directly contributes to student-athlete success, institutional integrity, and the overall game-day experience while promoting the University’s mission through high-quality event operations that meet or exceed NCAA expectations. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications & Experience Understanding of NCAA/CCAA facility standards. Working knowledge of NCAA/CCAA game-day protocols; familiarity with compliance and risk management practices in athletics and sports operations. Good customer service, communication and time management skills. Ability to multi-task and apply health and safety standards in live-event settings. The candidate must be able to perform well under pressure, work independently, and collaborate effectively with others. Flexibility is essential, as the position requires availability during weekdays, evenings, and weekends to support home athletic events. The incumbent must have a demonstrated interest and/or ability in working in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the application status of applicants or continued employment of current CSU employees who may apply for the position.
