Job Description

The Athletics Assistant – Men’s Basketball will support the head coach and staff in daily operations, game day activities, and travel logistics for the Allegheny College men’s basketball team. This role provides hands‑on assistance during practices and games, ensures equipment readiness, and helps maintain a professional environment for student‑athletes.

• Attend team practices and games, providing on‑court and sideline support.
• Travel with the team for road games and related events.
• Operate the scoreboard and shot clock during practices.
• Assist coaches in setting up and executing drills and practice plans.
• Pack, transport, and inventory equipment for home and away contests.
• Maintain and organize team equipment, uniforms, and supplies.
• Provide general administrative support to the coaching staff as needed.
• Demonstrated some knowledge of basketball rules, strategies, and terminology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with student‑athletes and staff.
• Ability to operate a scoreboard or similar timing equipment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
