What You’ll Do
Performs and documents as directed by physician for patients classified as athletes according to state licensure act. Independently assesses patients/athletes to determine appropriate athletic injury care or referral to physician for evaluation. Provides rehabilitation and athletic injury coverage for area schools. In clinical setting, delivers treatment under direction of evaluating therapist to meet stated goals.
Requirements
This ATC position is required per our contracted and signed agreement with the University President and Freeman Health System. The NCAA also mandates levels and numbers of Certified Athletic Trainers to care for scholarship athletes and are they are required for athletic competitions for 12 varsity Division 2 sports.
Upon hire, must have Athletic Trainer license for the state in which they are practicing.
Preferred Requirements
Master's degree is preferred but will accept Bachelor's degree.
Preferred two years of working experience as a Certified Athletic Trainer.
New graduates are considered with active certification or licensure.
