The Athletic Trainer plays a key role within the Orthopedic Service Line, working closely with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams to support pediatric and adolescent patients in clinic and the school-based community outreach settings. This role specifically focuses on medical event coverage, patient evaluation, development and communication of individualized care plans, care coordination with other healthcare providers and disciplines, and delivery of patient and family education in collaboration with our attending providers for Milwaukee Public Schools.
The Athletic Trainer practices within the Board of Certification domains— prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation—while applying experiential knowledge and evidence‑based guidelines to ensure high‑quality, patient‑centered care.
