General Summary:

As an entry-level Test Development Engineer, you will help develop cost‑effective manufacturing test solutions for Qualcomm Connectivity SoC products on Teradyne UltraFLEX and Advantest V93000 (93K) ATE platforms. Working alongside experienced engineers and cross‑functional teams worldwide, you will contribute to test plan development, silicon bring‑up/characterization, debug, data analysis, and yield/test time improvement initiatives.

This role is well suited for a new graduate or early‑career engineer who is proactive, eager to learn, and excited to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative engineering environment. Qualcomm employees are expected to actively support diversity and inclusion within their teams and the company.

Key Responsibilities

• ATE Test Development & Execution
  • Support development of manufacturing test coverage for Connectivity SoCs, including DC, high‑speed IO (HSIO), baseband, and RF IP blocks.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining ATE test programs, routines, and debug flows on UltraFLEX and/or Advantest 93K.
• Test Planning & Coverage
  • Help develop characterization and test plans based on product requirements and engineering guidance.
  • Identify DFT and test hardware needs (e.g., measurement resources, interface requirements) to execute test plans efficiently.
• Silicon Bring‑Up, Debug, and Issue Closure
  • Support first‑silicon bring‑up and debug, working with senior engineers to qualify designs fabricated at external foundries.
  • Participate in failure analysis workflows, tracking issues to closure with internal partners.
• Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement
  • Perform parametric data analysis to evaluate electrical performance across conditions.
  • Assist with yield monitoring, investigation of yield excursions, and test time reduction projects for high‑volume manufacturing.
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with global teams including IC design, system engineering, and hardware applications engineering to deliver robust test solutions on schedule.
  • Contribute to clear documentation and knowledge sharing to support team execution.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field ( M.S. preferred).
• Understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals, including digital, analog, mixed‑signal, and basic VLSI concepts.
• Familiarity with programming fundamentals (e.g., C/C++, Java, Perl; scripting experience is a plus).
• Able to work with common test/measurement equipment (e.g., oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; proactive and eager to learn.
• Knowledge of device physics and basic semiconductor manufacturing processes is nice to have
• Having internship, project, or coursework experience in ATE, DFT, and yield analysis is also advantageous. Experience with statistical concepts and data analysis methods is valued.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field.
