We are seeking an ATE Mechanical Engineer to lead and support the end-to-end design, documentation, and production release of custom Automated Test Equipment (ATE). In this role, you will own the mechanical architecture of test consoles, interface modules, and specialized fixtures, ensuring seamless transition from prototype development straight to manufacturing production.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Documentation: Architect and detail rack assemblies, interface test adaptors (ITAs), cable assemblies, interface modules, interconnect diagrams, and bills of materials (BOMs)Fixture Engineering: Design robust mounting, interconnect, and human interface test fixtures with rigorous focus on dimensioning, tolerancing, and configuration managementAnalysis & Modeling: Create precise 3D/2D models using Siemens NX and perform structural/thermal FEA validation using ANSYSConfiguration & Quality Control: Manage formal design releases through product data management systemsProject Lifecycle Support: Oversee critical hardware parts ordering/receipt, develop technical presentation packages, and lead cross-functional electrical/mechanical design reviews
QualificationsRequired Qualifications & SkillsExperience: 2+ years of dedicated hands-on experience in automated test equipment development and production releaseEducation: B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent technical discipline)Core Competencies:Test equipment console layout and ITA designAdvanced 2D/3D electrical and mechanical draftingMil/ASME standards and configuration management best practicesMachining, fabrication processes, materials, and surface finishesThermal calculations and environmental mitigation managementSecurity Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a US Department of War (DoW) Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship is required)Preferred Tools & SystemsCAD/CAE: Siemens NX (3D/2D), ANSYSData Management: Enovia / Matrix Product Data Manager (or similar cPDM/Windchill tools)General: Visio, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative SuiteBonus: Working knowledge of PCB layout, routing, and electro-mechanical packaging How We Care

Textron’s compensation package includes competitive base pay and provides eligible employees with benefit programs. The pay range should be used as a general guide only. Compensation is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. In compliance with the local pay transparency law, the pay range for this position is $92,600 - $139,600 per year.
