The Pay, Perks, and Benefits
- Annual Salary of $57,750.00- $65,375.00 and commensurate with experience.
- Retirement benefits are provided through the Virginia Retirement System with employer match.

What You Will Do
As a Student Success Coordinator, you will serve as the primary student-facing professional responsible for supporting student success through intervention, coaching, and case management. You will work directly with students who are experiencing academic, attendance, or conduct-related challenges and provide proactive support to help them remain engaged and successfully complete their programs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Meet individually with students experiencing academic, attendance, or conduct concerns.
- Conduct intervention meetings and develop individualized student success plans.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and support to improve student performance and engagement.
- Monitor student progress and conduct follow-up activities to ensure continued success.
- Review attendance alerts and intervene with students experiencing attendance challenges.
- Help students identify and address barriers impacting attendance and participation.
- Track academic performance indicators and identify students at risk of falling behind.
- Coordinate remediation, recovery, and support plans that promote academic achievement.
- Address student conduct concerns and conduct intervention meetings when appropriate.
- Document interventions, corrective actions, and case management activities.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and leadership to support student retention and completion goals.
- Escalate serious or complex student concerns in accordance with established procedures.

You will play a critical role in creating a supportive and accountable learning environment. Through consistent student engagement, timely interventions, and effective case management, you will help improve student retention, strengthen student engagement, and support successful program completion. Your ability to build relationships, identify challenges early, and connect students with resources will contribute directly to positive student outcomes.
Work Schedule
This position follows a consistent schedule of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and 5:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This schedule supports student engagement and services across multiple instructional shifts.

Your Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor's degree in education, student affairs, counseling, social work, human services, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working directly with students, customers, or clients in a coaching, advising, counseling, case management, or support role.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism, discretion, and empathy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and student information or case management systems.
- Experience supporting student retention, academic success, workforce development, or related programs is preferred.
