Compensation range: $28.63 - $32.72 per hour

The base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. Actual total compensation will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications.

Location: San Jose, CA (on-site)

Hours: Monday - Friday, Early Day Shift 5:30 am - 2:00 pm

As a AST Data Entry Specialist for our Inventory Management System, you will be responsible for entering and maintaining inventory data accurately and efficiently. You will collaborate closely with our inventory management team to ensure that all data is up-to-date and supports smooth operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Data Entry: Accurately input and update inventory data, including item descriptions, quantities, locations, and any relevant information into the inventory management system.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks on entered data to identify and correct any discrepancies, inaccuracies, or missing information.
  • Inventory Tracking: Assist in monitoring inventory levels, conducting regular audits, and reconciling any discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed and organized records of inventory transactions, adjustments, and any other relevant documentation.
  • Reporting: Generate and prepare inventory reports as required, highlighting key metrics, trends, and potential issues.
  • Communication: Collaborate with the inventory management team to ensure that inventory data is aligned with operational needs and assist in resolving any data-related issues.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve data entry processes, efficiency, and accuracy within the inventory management system.
  • Other Tasks: Assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 3+ years previous experience in data entry; or equivalent combination of education and experience. AA or BA degree is a plus.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Proven experience in data entry, preferably in an inventory or warehouse environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software & Google Suite.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to absorb and manage multiple tasks throughout work day
  • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
  • Must be assertive, flexible, and have a strong sense of urgency.
  • Requires strong organizational skills and self-motivation
  • Must be able to effectively solve problems and make decisions independently
  • Knowledge of Google Office systems with ability to learn internal system
  • Knowledge of basic warehouse functions helpful
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software & Google Suite.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Seeing, hearing, color perception, clear speech
  • Ability to move distances within the office and warehouse
  • If completing job tasks in the warehouse, must be able to consistently lift 50 to 75 pounds
  • Complex reading and writing
  • Ability to work mathematical calculations for reporting and keeping statistics

Working Environment

Regularly works alone and with others in person, over the phone and via email. Generally works in an office environment around moderate noise. Has daily interaction in the warehouse around loud noises and changing temperatures.
