Job Overview

As an Assurance Senior Associate, you would be taking the lead and working closely with the client service team through all phases of the engagement focused on various industries including manufacturing and distribution, financial services, service, construction, and employee benefit plans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Assurance Staff, Manager and Partner on all phases of the engagements, including planning, fieldwork, communications with the client, and wrap-up through report issuance
• In-charge engagements including workpaper and financial statement preparation for compilations, reviews, and audits
• Research and resolve GAAP accounting issues
• Review prior year workpapers and most recent interim financial statements prior to the beginning of an engagement
• Identify and draft relevant management letter comments
• Maintain knowledge of clients’ procedures, internal controls, accounting systems and business conditions
• Communicate with clients for client information and requests
• Maintain personal networks, and participate in civic, charitable, and professional organizations

Qualifications

Education/Licensing

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or other relevant field, from an accredited university required
• CPA Certification, or active pursuit of CPA certification, required

Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• 2-4 year of assurance experience in Public Accounting
• Prior experience in-charging audit engagements, including project management, research and general accounting
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and manage deadlines
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to make decisions
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Client service mentality
• Teamwork oriented with a willingness to grow, a passion for living, and desire to go above and beyond
