Assurance Senior Associate

Audit & Assurance | Client Advisory | Career Growth | Hybrid Flexibility

Compensation: $75,000–$95,000 Base + Performance Bonus + CPA Support

Location: Westlake, Ohio (Hybrid)

Our client, a highly respected and growing public accounting and advisory firm, is seeking an experienced Assurance Senior Associate to join its expanding Assurance team.

The Opportunity

As an Assurance Senior Associate, you'll play a key role in planning and executing assurance engagements while working closely with managers, directors, and partners.

Key Responsibilities

Audit & Assurance Engagements

• Perform and supervise audit, review, and compilation engagements
• Assist clients with financial reporting and compliance requirements
• Prepare and review workpapers and engagement documentation
• Analyze financial statements and supporting schedules
• Ensure engagements are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with professional standards

Financial Reporting & Technical Development

• Develop advanced knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
• Apply cash, tax, and other special-purpose accounting frameworks
• Stay current with new accounting and auditing standards
• Maintain familiarity with updates from FASB and the AICPA
• Research technical accounting issues and communicate conclusions effectively

Client Service & Advisory

• Interact directly with client personnel and management
• Assist clients in improving accounting processes and reporting procedures
• Build strong working relationships with clients
• Deliver timely, responsive, and professional service

Leadership & Team Development

• Supervise and mentor junior staff accountants
• Review staff work and provide constructive feedback
• Assist with training and professional development efforts
• Help develop future leaders within the Assurance practice
• Lead portions of engagements and coordinate workflow with engagement teams

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA or CPA Candidate
• 2–4 years of public accounting experience
• Audit, review, or compilation experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities
• Experience working within deadlines and managing multiple priorities
