The Opportunity

As an Assurance Manager, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to clients while leading engagement teams and helping drive the continued success of the Assurance practice.

Key Responsibilities

Assurance Engagement Leadership

• Lead audit and assurance engagements from planning through completion
• Manage engagement budgets, staffing, timelines, and deliverables
• Review financial statements, workpapers, and engagement documentation
• Ensure compliance with professional standards and firm quality requirements
• Monitor engagement profitability and operational efficiency

Client Advisory & Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Serve as a trusted resource for business owners and management teams
• Advise clients on accounting, reporting, and operational matters
• Communicate engagement findings and improvement recommendations
• Deliver exceptional client service throughout the year

Leadership & Team Development

• Mentor, coach, and develop assurance staff and supervisors
• Provide performance feedback and career guidance
• Assist with recruiting, retention, and staff development initiatives
• Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment
• Help build the next generation of firm leaders

Risk Assessment & Financial Reporting

• Evaluate internal controls and reporting processes
• Identify risks and opportunities for improvement
• Assist clients with complex accounting and reporting issues
• Support implementation of best practices for financial management
• Provide practical recommendations that improve operations and reporting accuracy

Practice Growth & Community Involvement

• Support firm growth initiatives and strategic priorities
• Participate in professional organizations and community events
• Assist with client retention and business development efforts
• Strengthen the firm's presence in the marketplace
• Contribute to thought leadership and training initiatives

Qualifications

Required

• Active CPA license
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
• 5+ years of public accounting audit and assurance experience
• Experience managing engagements and client relationships
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and financial reporting requirements
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Strong project management and organizational abilities
