Assurance Manager – Public Accounting | Atlanta, GA

A highly respected and growing public accounting firm in Atlanta is seeking a dynamic Assurance Manager to join their expanding Assurance team. As a trusted advisor, the Assurance Manager will embody the firm's commitment to character — operating with honesty, accountability, and a consultative mindset in every client interaction. The firm serves clients across a diverse range of industries including manufacturing/distribution, real estate, construction, technology, transportation, private equity, financial services, staffing, and professional services.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex audits and review financial statement audits, benefit plan audits, reviews, and compilations
  • Prepare financial statements and related disclosures in accordance with GAAP
  • Perform internal control documentation and testing
  • Assist Senior Managers, Directors, and Partners with consulting projects
  • Train and supervise staff; review work papers and financial statements
  • Meet budget and realization goals while supporting staff in meeting their own targets
  • Identify client issues and problem areas and propose practical solutions
  • Continuously develop technical skills through CPE, personal commitment, and on-the-job training

Qualifications

  • CPA with 4–7 years of public accounting audit experience
  • Strong leadership, technical, and communication skills
  • Industry experience in transportation, manufacturing, or construction is a plus
  • Proficiency in Excel; CCH ProSystem fx and IDEA experience a plus
