About Us

Fellowship Christian School is a Christian school committed to developing students in faith, character, and excellence. Our athletic program is an extension of that mission: we compete to win, but we coach to shape young people who reflect Christ on and off the field.

The Role

The Assistant Coach supports the Head Coach in leading our varsity soccer program. You'll help build a team culture rooted in integrity, humility, and mutual respect while developing players' skills, tactical understanding, and love of the game.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Head Coach to plan and lead training sessions, drills, and small-sided games
  • Develop individual players technically, tactically, and physically
  • Assist with game-day preparation, in-game coaching, and player feedback
  • Build strong, encouraging relationships with players and mentor them in character and leadership
  • Communicate respectfully with parents, staff, and officials
  • Model sportsmanship, integrity, and faith-informed conduct at all times
  • Help manage equipment, logistics, and player safety
  • Support the school's mission and athletic philosophy

  • Clear communication and a teachable, collaborative spirit
  • Personal faith commitment and agreement with the school's statement of faith
  • Willingness to complete a background check and required child-safety and CPR/First Aid training (or obtain them upon hire)
  • GHSA Certification for Lay Coaches

Preferred

  • National D Coaching license
  • Experience in a Christian or school-based athletic setting
