The Lead Host / Assistant Manager plays a key role in leading the guest experience from the moment guests walk through the door. This position oversees the host team, manages reservations and seating flow, supports service operations, and works closely with management to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations.

This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who is organized, energetic, professional, and hospitality-driven.

What You’ll Do

Guest Experience

  • Create a warm, welcoming, and polished first impression for every guest
  • Manage reservations, waitlists, and table assignments with efficiency and professionalism
  • Ensure smooth seating flow during high-volume brunch and lunch service
  • Handle guest concerns with confidence, professionalism, and care

Team Leadership

  • Lead, motivate, and support the host team during service
  • Assist with training and coaching front-of-house staff
  • Help maintain team accountability, professionalism, and service standards
  • Support shift coordination and daily communication between departments

Operations Support

  • Communicate effectively with servers, managers, and kitchen staff to maintain service flow
  • Assist management with opening and closing procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the front entrance and host stand
  • Support operational efficiency while maintaining Little Hen hospitality standards

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous restaurant hosting or hospitality leadership experience preferred
  • Experience in high-volume or upscale dining environments is a plus
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Positive attitude with the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Natural leadership and team-oriented mindset
  • Professional appearance and strong guest engagement skills
  • Availability for weekends and holidays
