Shanghai, ChinaJohnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Assistant Manager Business Analytics located in Shanghai.

The rolesupports DPS China indatadrivendecision making by translating business questions into structured analyses, reports, and dashboards. The role partners closely with Commercial, Marketing, Strategic Support, andITteams to deliverhighqualityinsights, ensure analytics execution discipline, and continuously improve data transparency and usability.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analytics & Insight Generation

  • Support development of standardized business analytics, including sales performance, market trends, channel effectiveness, and customer insights

  • Transform business requirements into clear analytical questions, metrics, and outputs

  • Build andmaintainreports, dashboards, and visualizations to support business reviews and managementdecisionmaking

  • Conductadhocanalyses to support strategic initiatives, problem solving, and leadership requests

Data Modeling, Reporting & Visualization

  • Use data and analytics tools to perform data modeling, analysis, and reporting

  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of analytics outputs

  • Partner with IS / Digital teams to clarify data sources, definitions, and logic

  • Support continuous improvement of analytics automation and reporting efficiency

Business Requirement Translation & Project Support

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to clarify and translate requirements into analytics solutions

  • Supportanalyticsrelatedprojects through planning, execution, tracking, and delivery

  • Prepare and maintain workplans, milestones, risks/issues logs, and progressupdates

  • Participate in solution reviews to ensure analytics outputs meet business, compliance, and governance requirements

Data Governance & Analytics Enablement

  • Support adherence to data governance standards, including data definition consistency, access control, andappropriate usage

  • Assistwith documentation of key metrics, data logic, and reporting methodologies

  • Support change management related to analytics tools, dashboards, or reporting processes

  • Contribute to building DPS China’s analytics capability anddatadrivenculture

Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Management

  • Contribute topostprojectreviews and best practice documentation

  • Identifyopportunities to improve analytics processes, delivery methods, and insight usability

  • Support standardization and simplification of analytics deliverables across DPS China

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or above

  • Preferred majors: Business Analytics, Information Management, Data Science, Engineering, Healthcare, or related fields

Experience

  • Solid experience in business analytics, data analysis, digital, or commercial support roles

  • Experience working with data analysis, reporting, or visualization tools

  • Exposure to project coordination or analytics project delivery preferred

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical thinking and structuredproblemsolvingcapability

  • Ability to translate business needs intodatadriveninsights

  • Good communicationandcrossfunctionalcollaboration skills

  • High attention to detail, data accuracy, and quality mindset

  • Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities

  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with BI / visualization tools preferred

  • Familiarity with data concepts (databases, metrics, data modeling) is a plus

  • Good English reading and writing capability preferred
