Create your best future and join Westpac as an Associate/Senior Associate, FX Sales & Execution

What’s the role?

You'll play a key support role within the Institutional and Corporate Financial Markets teams, gaining broad exposure to institutional and corporate FX. This high impact development role supports senior sales and execution specialists while building strong foundations in markets knowledge, client engagement, and disciplined execution.

Working at the intersection of markets, client service, and execution, you will help deliver accurate, responsive, and compliant FX solutions across the product. You will partner closely with sales, traders, research, risk, operations, and platform teams to support institutional investors and corporate clients with diverse hedging and dealing needs.

This is a permanent, Sydney based role that focuses on delivering a seamless client experience through strong operational discipline, proactive support, and clear communication.

What do I need?

You’ll bring a strong foundation in FX and a client first mindset, with the confidence to support execution and sales activity in a busy markets environment. Key skills include:

  • Practical experience supporting FX in a market facing, execution, sales support, trading assistant or FX operations role.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain market movements in plain language.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple tasks under time pressure.
  • A proactive, problem solving approach with a genuine team first mindset.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn, with an interest in building deeper FX product and market knowledge.
  • AFMA accreditation preferred.
