These individuals analyse client needs, implement software solutions, and provide training and support for seamless integration and utilisation of business applications, enabling clients to achieve their strategic objectives.

As a business application consulting generalist at PwC, you will provide consulting services for a wide range of business applications. You will leverage a broad understanding of various software solutions to assist clients in optimising operational efficiency through analysis, implementation, training, and support.

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain Oracle WebLogic Server environments (12c or later).
• Manage WebLogic domains, clusters, managed servers, and node managers.
• Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot Java EE applications (WAR, EAR, JAR) on WebLogic Server.
• Perform patching, upgrades, and security hardening of WebLogic infrastructure.
• Automate deployments and routine tasks using WLST, Shell, or Python scripts.
• Configure and manage JMS, JDBC, and data sources within WebLogic.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and network teams to resolve performance issues and improve application stability.
• Monitor server health using management tools and logs; perform proactive tuning.
• Analyze thread dumps, heap dumps, and GC logs for troubleshooting.
• Maintain documentation on configurations, procedures, and issues.
• Participate in on-call rotation for production support and incident management.
• Ensure compliance with documentation standards and internal policies.

Mandatory Skill Sets:

• Oracle WebLogic Server Administration (versions 10.x, 12c, 14c).
• Domain, cluster, managed server, and node manager configuration.
• Deployment of Java EE applications (WAR, EAR, JAR).
• JVM tuning and heap memory management.
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments (Red Hat, Oracle Linux, Solaris).
• Shell scripting (bash, ksh) for automation.
• SSL/TLS configuration, keystores, truststores, and certificate management.
• Performance tuning and troubleshooting (thread dumps, heap dumps, GC analysis).
• WLST scripting for domain automation.
• JDBC data source configuration and troubleshooting.

Preferred Skill Sets:

• Experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware components (SOA Suite, OSB, OHS, WebCenter).
• Integration with LDAP, SSO, or Active Directory.
• Familiarity with Jenkins, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Python or Ansible scripting for deployment and maintenance.
• Knowledge of Oracle Database.
• Exposure to WebSphere Administration, Cloud technologies, and application deployment.

Years of Experience Required:

3–6 years of hands-on expertise in Oracle WebLogic Server administration.

Education Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Relevant Oracle or middleware certifications preferred.
