We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate – Structural (Industrial / Mining & Resources)to join our Perth, WAteam.
This is a senior leadership role where you will provide technical governance and strategic direction across industrial structural programs, while also driving strong commercial outcomes. You will lead project teams, manage complex interfaces across disciplines, coordinate delivery (including with offshore teams where required), and act as a client-facing trusted advisor—supporting pursuits, shaping scopes, and delivering profitable, high-quality work.
Lead structural delivery across major industrial/mining projects, setting direction from concept to detailed design and construction support.
Provide technical authority and assurance: design reviews, verification, riskmanagementand governanceacross multiple projects.
Manage and grow client relationships—acting as a trusted advisoron scope, options, risk,constructabilityand delivery strategy.
Lead teams and mentor engineers, building capability,accountabilityand a high-performance, safety-focused culture.
Drive commercial outcomes: scope/fee development, resourcing,programmeplanning, margin and risk management, and disciplined project delivery.
Coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces (civil, mechanical, piping, electrical, drafting/BIM) and align delivery with offshore/distributed teamswhererequired
Support work-winning through proposals, tender strategy, partnerengagementandidentifyingrepeat opportunities.
Significant experienceleading structural design and deliveryfor industrial/mining infrastructure(process plants, materials handling, conveyor and transfer stations, pipe racks, heavy equipment support, structural steel and concrete design,foundationsand brownfield upgrades).
Strong application of Australian Standardsand local construction practices, including AS/NZS 1170, AS 4100, AS 3600and relevant industry guidelines.
Proven leadership capability: mentoring and developing engineers, coordinating multidisciplinary deliverables, and providing robust technical review/assurance.
High commercial acumen with a proven record in work winning, client account leadership, fee/scope negotiation, delivery governance, and building repeat programs of work.
Confident client-facing communicator able to influence owners, EPCM/EPC partners,contractorsand vendors with clear, pragmatic advice.
Degree qualified in Civil/Structural Engineering; Chartered (CPEng)
