MINISTRY DESCRIPTION:
The Coordinator of Outreach to the Poor serves as St. Andrew’s primary contact for individuals and families seeking financial or material assistance. This role coordinates the parish’s charitable response, connects individuals with appropriate resources, and helps advance the Church’s mission to serve Christ in the poor.
The Coordinator also serves as the parish liaison to Catholic Charities Fort Worth’s “Family Stabilization Program” and helps ensure effective collaboration between parish assistance and longer-term support services.

Key Responsibilities
Parish Assistance
● Serve as the main point of contact for individuals seeking assistance from the parish
● Meet with individuals and families to assess needs and available resources
● Coordinate or provide aid with essential needs such as housing, utilities, food, and transportation
● Maintain confidentiality and appropriate stewardship of parish resources
● Refer individuals to community resources
Catholic Charities Liaison
● Serve as parish liaison to Catholic Charities Fort Worth and the “Family Stabilization Program”
● Refer individuals and families for services when appropriate
● Help connect short-term assistance with longer-term stabilization resources
Parish Outreach & Collaboration
● Work with clergy and staff to strengthen outreach efforts
● Provide periodic updates on needs, assistance provided, and outreach activity
Accountability
The Coordinator reports to the pastor of St. Andrew Catholic Church and works closely with parish staff, Catholic Charities Fort Worth, volunteers, and community partners to provide care and assistance to the poor in our area.

This role ensures that those who seek help are met with compassion, dignity, and practical assistance, while helping the parish respond to poverty in a meaningful way rooted in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
