Job Description

The Pastorate of Resurrection and St. Paul is seeking applicants for an Associate Youth Minister The Associate Youth Minister will be responsible for engaging youth and young adults through new and existing programs. The Associate will work collaboratively with the Youth Ministry staff, the school staff, and the Parish staff.

The goal of Eclifeteen is to lead teenagers to know Christ through wild fun, adventures, nature, small groups, and through the Sacraments and beauty of the Catholic Church. Whether we’re competing in our annual lip sync battle or worshipping the Lord in Mass or Adoration, the goal is always to provide a place that feels like home for teenagers and offers them something real in a sometimes dark world that demands so much of them.

Associate Youth Minister will be responsible for supporting various tasks and efforts to make this possible. The Associate will work collaboratively under the Director of Youth Ministry. The position is full-time and is benefits eligible.

Essential Functions:

  • Assisting in planning and executing:Weekly Highschool Youth Ministry September-May
  • 7-8 retreats throughout the year
  • Three week-long summer camps (two of which are sleepaway, one being a camping trip)
  • Summer ministry May-August
  • Highschool Confirmation prep
  • Ladies nights, guy’s nights, senior nights, bible studies, and other added events
  • Adult Core team and teen leader meetings
  • Fundraisers throughout the year
  • Attending relational events like sports games, plays, art shows etc.
  • Doing everything in your power to learn and love teenagers and lead them to Christ
  • Middle school youth ministry

Position Qualifications

  • Commitment and willingness to grow in personal holiness and relationship with Christ
  • Ability to have fun and celebrate the joy of the Lord
  • Ability to operate under pressure and in semi wild/loud environments

  • Ability to multi-task
  • Have a deep love of teenagers and Christ, and the Catholic Church

  • Ability to travel several times throughout the year

  • Ability to climb ladders, lift heavy items, be on your feet for several hours at a time
  • Agreement with and adherence to Catholic teaching, theology, tradition, and doctrines
  • Familiarity with adolescent faith development, engagement, and their social and cultural environment
  • Ability to engage in one-to-one and group dynamics with teens, parents, & Parish Staff
  • Strong social media skills and knowledge of Microsoft office, excel, and Google tools
  • Ability to maintain proper boundaries with youth and knowledge of Child Protection policies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Basic Knowledge of budgeting, calendaring, facility sharing, admin skills, event planning, and critical thinking
  • Must be a Practicing Catholic
  • Ability to follow direction

Pay Range: $50,000, Annualized
