Job Description

THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

· Basic set up and operation of various machines and equipment relating to the winding of conductor coils including but not limited to the vertical and horizontal winding machines and mandrels.

· Setup, manufacture, and finish of basic and standard coils including layer type, helical type, and disc type coils.

· Connect, solder, clean and braze conductor according to specifications.

· Inspect, verify, and document quality criteria during manufacturing to ensure that units meet exact specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements.

· Read prints, bills of material, specifications and work instructions to determine proper materials for processing, assembly and installation.

· Safely move, handle and store materials without damaging items.

· Follow and adhere to standard work procedures, sequence of operations and consistently meet manufacturing standards for quality and productivity.

· Perform TPM and preventative maintenance tasks on equipment and machines.

· Practice 6S and adhere to all safety rules, guidelines and safe working practices.

· Safely operate material handling and lifting equipment such as overhead cranes, forklifts, pallet jacks, motorized scissors lifts and work platforms as required.

· Assist in training of new employees including improving individual skills as well as assisting in the development of training materials.

· Actively assist in troubleshooting and implementation of corrective actions.

· Assist other manufacturing areas as needed.

· Support and assist the Manufacturing Supervisor or Manufacturing Manager as needed.

· Understand and work under the direction of the appropriate Hyosung HICO policy and/or procedure.

· Know Hyosung HICO’s Quality and Environmental Policies. Be able to fully discuss the importance of these policies and how they impact work.

THE NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

· Perform basic preventative maintenance and TPM on equipment/machines.

· Assist with completing process check sheets and verifying the work of other employees according to Company procedures.

· Assist in troubleshooting and implementation of corrective actions.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/SPECIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:

· High school education or equivalent and less than two years of training and/or experience, or equivalent education and experience.

· Intermediate mechanical or technical skills.

· Experience using various hand and power tools.

· Ability to read manufacturing drawings/specifications, prints or work instructions.

· Basic math, spatial, and practical geometry skills.

· Basic computer skills with emphasis on MS Office products and understanding of computer applications.

· Knowledge and use of basic industrial measuring tools.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE POSITION AND ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS OF THE WORKPLACE:

· Ability to perform mechanical assembly, set up and installation.

· Ability to work at elevated heights and climb stairs.

· Ability to inspect work.

· Ability to work in normal indoor temperatures.

· Ability to use a three (3) pound hammer for extended periods.

· Ability to stand and walk minimum 6-8 hours per day.

· Ability to sit, squat, bend, stretch, and kneel frequently.

· Ability to forcefully grasp tools and materials for extended durations.

· Ability to work in confined spaces.

· Ability to climb and work up to 15 feet off the ground for extended periods of time.

· Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

· Ability to use basic hand and power tools.

· Ability to perform repetitive movement.

· Ability to use all applicable PPE including but not limited to hard hats, safety toe shoes, safety glasses, and gloves.
