This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious lawyer with experience at a leading City or international law firm to work on sophisticated, high-value and often cross-border matters for major corporates, financial institutions and senior stakeholders, including acting for individuals facing potential criminal, regulatory or reputational exposure.

The successful candidate will have a particular focus on corporate financial crime, compliance and investigations, including sanctions, anti-money laundering, anti-bribery and corruption and corporate due diligence.

The Candidate Responsibilities:

  • Advising individuals in relation to allegations or suspicions of fraud, bribery and corruption, money laundering, sanctions breaches, insider dealing and other financial misconduct.

  • Advising on the design, implementation and enhancement of financial crime compliance frameworks, policies and procedures.

  • Supporting clients with internal investigations into suspected bribery and corruption, fraud, money laundering, sanctions breaches and other financial misconduct.

  • Advising on regulatory and enforcement risk, including engagement with relevant UK and international authorities where appropriate.

  • Advising on risk mitigation, remediation and compliance enhancement programmes following investigations or identified control weaknesses.

  • Supporting clients on emerging areas of corporate criminal liability and financial crime risk.

  • Working on complex, multi-jurisdictional matters, coordinating with lawyers and advisers across different offices and jurisdictions.
