THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
· Weld parts or assemblies; position, align, and fasten assemblies to product, subassemblies, or frames per prints, product specifications or as directed.
· Set up and verify fixtures and templates, and/or lay out product using prints.
· Measure and adjust parts using measuring instruments such as scales, calipers and micrometers.
· Inspect, verify, and document quality criteria during manufacturing to ensure that units meet exact specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements.
· Read prints, bills of material, specifications and work instructions to determine proper component parts for processing, assembly and installation.
· Safely move, handle and store materials without damaging items.
· Use welding and processing equipment in accordance to safety, procedure, and work instructions.
· Follow and comply with standard work procedures and sequence of operations to consistently meet manufacturing standards for safety, quality, cost, and productivity.
· Perform TPM and preventative maintenance tasks on equipment, machines, and fixtures.
· Practice 6S and comply with all safety rules, guidelines and safe working practices.
· Safely operate material handling and lifting equipment such as overhead cranes, forklifts, pallet jacks, motorized scissor lifts and work platforms.
· Actively assist in troubleshooting and implementation of corrective actions.
· Assist other manufacturing areas as needed.
· Support and assist the Manufacturing Supervisor / Manager as needed.
· Understand and work under the direction of the appropriate Hyosung HICO policy and/or procedure.
· Know Hyosung HICO’s Quality and Environmental Policies. Be able to fully discuss the importance of these policies and how they impact work.

· Perform basic preventative maintenance and TPM on equipment/machines.
· Assist with completing process check sheets and verifying the work of other employees according to Company procedures.
· Assist in troubleshooting and implementation of corrective actions.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/SPECIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
· High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in a technical field or vocational/trade school certification preferred and less than five years of training and/or experience in custom order/precision manufacturing or fabrication environment, or equivalent education and experience.
· Knowledge of welding with MIG and TIG required, including troubleshooting and repair of weld equipment and fixtures.
· Ability to learn and understand weld criteria and inspection methods.
· Basic mechanical/technical and troubleshooting skills required.
· Ability reading manufacturing drawings/specifications, prints or work instructions required.
· Basic knowledge using and setting up weld fixtures required, experience performing product layout per print desired.
· Basic math skills required.
· Basic computer skills required; advanced knowledge of Windows applications desired.
· Knowledge and use of basic industrial measuring tools required.
· Experience using various hand and power tools.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE POSITION AND ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS OF THE WORKPLACE:
· Ability to understand MIG and TIG weld, perform product layout and/or setup fixtures, and inspect work.
· Ability to work at elevated heights and climb stairs.
· Ability to work in normal indoor temperatures.
· Ability to stand and walk minimum 6-8 hours per day.
· Ability to sit, squat, bend, stretch, and kneel frequently.
· Ability to forcefully grasp tools and materials for extended durations.
· Ability to work in confined spaces.
· Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
