Our Queensland Bridges, Aviation and Roads team is seeking an Associate Water Resources Engineer to join our Brisbane office. This senior technical and client-facing role will help deliver flood resilience, hydrology and hydraulic solutions across major transport and multidisciplinary projects in Australia. You will lead project delivery, strengthen client relationships and develop junior engineers.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Lead flood resilience, hydrology, hydraulic modelling and surface water design for major transport and infrastructure projects.
• Take accountability for technical quality and delivery against scope, budget, schedule and client expectations.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams and apply contemporary modelling tools to inform practical, climate-resilient solutions.
• Prepare and review technical reports and contribute to proposals and work-winning activities.
• Build trusted client relationships and mentor less experienced engineers across the wider water practice.

About you:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil or environmental engineering; postgraduate study in water resources is desirable.
• At least 10 years of relevant consulting experience, including leadership of flood assessments and multidisciplinary infrastructure delivery from planning through to detailed design.
• CPEng and RPEQ, or eligibility to obtain these credentials.
• Strong knowledge of ARR 2019 and hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, including RORB, XP-RAFTS, WBNM or AWBM, TUFLOW and QGIS; experience with 12d and MUSIC is desirable.
• Demonstrated technical leadership, client relationship management and mentoring capability, with an interest in flood resilience, climate adaptation and safe, sustainable outcomes.
