A career in Deals Advisory - Valuations will provide you with the opportunity to provide comprehensive valuation services to businesses and investors across various industries. Work with a team of experts who are committed to delivering accurate, insightful, and strategic valuation analyses that support our clients' financial and business decisions.

You will be responsible for supporting the execution of valuation engagements, including the analysis of financial statements, market data, and economic conditions. This role requires a strong understanding of valuation methodologies, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and clients to deliver high-quality valuation services.

Role specific

  • Assist in the preparation of valuation analyses for various purposes, including financial reporting, tax compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic planning.

  • Conduct detailed financial analysis, including cash flow projections, financial statement analysis, and ratio analysis.

  • Apply various valuation methodologies, including discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, and asset-based approaches.

  • Perform industry and market research to support valuation assumptions and conclusions.

  • Prepare detailed valuation reports and presentations, outlining the methodologies, assumptions, and conclusions.

  • Collaborate with clients to gather necessary information and ensure the accuracy of data.

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of financial models used in valuation analyses.

  • Stay current with industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes that may impact valuations.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of valuation methodologies and tools.

  • Work effectively with colleagues to ensure timely and accurate completion of valuation engagements.

Skills, experience and qualifications

  • Graduate with less than 12 months of work experience

  • Degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Financial Mathematics, Financial Engineering or a related field

  • Previous experience gained through an internship in valuations, financial analysis or investment banking is an added advantage

  • Strong grasp of fundamental principles of valuation principles, methodologies, and financial analysis techniques.

  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

  • Possess good leadership skills and demonstrate resilience

  • Able to demonstrate ability to interact with people of different backgrounds and build meaningful relationships

  • Able to demonstrate analytical thinking and business acumen

  • Proficiency in office suite ie (Google Suite/MS365)
