Parsonsisseeking an Associate Engineer with an interest in traffic and transportation engineering to join our growing team. This roleprovidesstrong opportunities for professional development and career progression. You will work under the supervision of a licensed engineer on a range of transportation projects while building technical and analytical skills in a collaborative, team-focused environment.

This role requires candidates to be able to work a hybrid schedule in our New York offices.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Working under the supervision of a licensed engineer,assistsin a variety of traffic engineering work including operational analyses and safety analysis.

  • Support data collection tasks under the guidance of experienced planners and engineers.

  • Assistin preparing planning reports, deliverables, and project documentation to meetParsonsstandards.

  • Take ownership of personal career development byseekingand providing feedback, seizing opportunities to develop new skills, and setting and pursuing personal goals.

  • Provide engineering support on various projects andtasks asassigned.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering ora relatedfield.

  • 0-3 years of experience in traffic engineering or transportation planning.

  • Havea passion for traffic engineering and a willingness to grow and learn.

  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work well within a team environment and self-motivated to produce high quality work


What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Internship, co-op, or relevant experience in traffic or transportation engineering.

  • Familiarity with the Highway Capacity Manual (HCM) and Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD).

  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or progress toward obtaining it.
