About us:

Market Operations is a Global team of 400+ Operations Professionals who support our Global Markets, Commodities, Structured Trade & Treasury businesses globally. Functions performed are trade confirmation / affirmation, settlement, reconciliation, and client data capture/maintenance, corporate actions (the front to back trade lifecycle) across FX, Fixed Income, Rates, Commodities, Carbon, Structured Trade, Derivatives and Loans.

Market Operations also provides Middle and Back Office services including Collateral Management, Regulatory Reporting, Client Reference Data maintenance, Client Onboarding, KYC Refresh, Account Origination, Client Case Management, Estate Management, International Loan Administration & Operations, Trade Support, Confirmation services and Settlements / Payments.

Do work that matters:

You will be supporting the futures clearing function across multiple product suites. This role is being established to support the following end-to-end responsibilities:

• Perform daily trade reconciliations, ensuring any discrepancies are investigated, escalated, and resolved with relevant desks and stakeholders.
• Perform daily reconciliation of open positions, including follow-up and escalation of breaks with both internal and external parties.
• Manage contract expiry activities, liaising with stakeholders to confirm whether positions should be closed out or progressed through to settlement/delivery.
• Collaborate with internal teams on product setup and mapping to ensure accurate capture and reconciliation of transactions across systems.
• Provide comprehensive support to the trading activities of Global Markets and Group Treasury dealing desks, ensuring that exceptions, queries, and operational risks are managed effectively to deliver optimal client outcomes.
• Trade Lifecycle Management of the Australian Retail Property Loans.
• Engage with a wide spectrum of stakeholders including, Sales and Trading, Group Treasury, Correspondent banks, Finance and regional middle office teams.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and contribute to process enhancement initiatives to strengthen controls and improve turn-around times.
• Management of Brokerage invoicing to ensure positions are reconciled and remitted accurately.

We are interested in hearing from you if you have:

• At least 3-5 years in a Trade Support role with Futures reconciliations, in an investment banking environment.
• Good knowledge of Murex.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related discipline.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to solve complex problems and deliver high-quality outcomes under tight deadlines.
• Effective communicator with strong written skills, capable of engaging stakeholders and influencing outcomes.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid understanding of operational policies, controls, and governance frameworks within financial markets or operations.
• Adaptable and resilient, with a continuous improvement mindset and openness to leveraging AI for efficiency gains.
• Japanese speaker will be highly regarded.
