About the Role
New opportunity within our large Engineering organization for a Test Engineer as part of a new opening position in Connectivity Test Center. This role will be part of a new team based in Bucharest which will work closely with the wider team. This is a newly formed team. Our goal is to build out our Connectivity Test Coordinating team operating from our strategic site in Bucharest providing experienced and dynamic team members to support multiple roles across our portfolio of global projects. This is an extremely exciting time to get involved, to help develop and shape innovative technology and drive change throughout the organization.
What You Will Do
A basic understanding of how software is developed and tested is essential.
Knowledge of manual testing, test cases, test plans, and defect reporting.
Ability to write simple Python scripts.
Understanding of Python basics, such as loops, conditionals, functions, and file handling.
Familiarity with writing and executing automated test scripts.
Knowledge of Python-based testing frameworks like pytest or unittest to write and organize test cases.
Basic understanding of APIs and how to test them.
Familiarity with operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux) and basic networking concepts
What You Need to Be Successful
Running Failed Automated Tests Manually
Re-run failed automated tests manually to confirm whether the issue is a software failure or a test automation script error.
Document findings and share them with the team for further analysis.
Reporting Failures and Communicating with the Team
Report test failures clearly and concisely, including all relevant details.
Maintain close communication with the team to assist in identifying the root cause of software failures.
Participate in team discussions to learn about debugging and troubleshooting techniques.
Maintaining and Updating Automated Python Scripts
Occasionally assist in maintaining or updating automated Python scripts under supervision.
Learn how to debug and modify scripts to ensure test scenarios are still running as expected.
Document any changes made to the scripts for future reference.
Bonus Points if You Have
ISTQB Certification and ASPICE knowledge
Working knowledge of Android and Linux
Experience in Agile/SCRUM
HW experience with configuration different setups
Knowledge in ALM is beneficial.
Experience in Python testing

Fluent in commercial and technical English
