A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Process Engineer to support manufacturing operations, continuous improvement and innovation across internal and external manufacturing activities. This role will play an important part in supporting new product introductions, technical transfers and process development activities within an API manufacturing environment.

What you will do

Bring energy, technical knowledge and innovation to the role by supporting the following activities:

• Act as a key contributor to new product introduction and technical transfer activities to and from the site, including the introduction of new technologies.
• Work as part of a multifunctional and diverse team to deliver project objectives within agreed schedules and product launch milestones.
• Support day-to-day development plans across projects, working closely with global Research and Development partners.
• Contribute to the evaluation of raw materials, process fit assessments, optimisation and development of chemical API processes.
• Participate in campaign preparation, safety and environmental reviews, batch sheet reviews, regulatory and validation compliance activities, process monitoring, cycle-time studies, deviation investigations and filing strategy development.
• Apply technical problem-solving skills to investigate issues, identify root causes and deliver effective, compliant solutions.
• Provide subject matter expertise in API processing unit operations and scale-up opportunities.
• Identify and address technical constraints to support successful process demonstration through piloting and validation.
• Communicate effectively across functions and organisational boundaries, providing clear technical guidance to colleagues at all levels.
• Demonstrate a professional, reliable and collaborative approach, with a strong commitment to quality, compliance and continuous improvement.

What skills you will need

To be successful in this role, you will most likely have:

• A degree in Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• A minimum of one year’s post-graduation experience or knowledge in pharmaceutical API manufacturing, process development or a related technical environment.
• Experience in process modelling, process simulation and/or data analytics would be an advantage.
• A self-motivated approach with the ability to influence and support others in implementing improvement initiatives.
• Strong personal integrity, credibility and energy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of diverse, cross-functional teams.
• A practical and solutions-focused mindset, with a commitment to safe, compliant and reliable delivery.
