As an associate software tester you will learn how to become a strong QA test automation engineer. You will need to have proactive ‘big picture’ approach to advance in analytical, communication and time management skills and willingness to learn. You will become part of the team responsible for functional and non-functional testing of Solar Turbines’ applications. You will learn how to develop functional test cases and scripts to automate and optimize testing of applications like analytic tools for customers, contract management or turbine data computation and processing tools.

You will be responsible for:

• Reviewing of the requirement and design specifications
• Test Plan preparation for several functional and non-functional areas with clear scope, objectives, deliverables, and risks
• Development of functional and non-functional test cases (scripts) using various test automation frameworks with focus on one programming language
• Tracking and reporting of quantitative and qualitative testing metrics
• Ensuring testing is carried out in a timely, repeatable, and effective manner
• Defect logging and reporting

Considered a plus

• Working experience in relevant industry or pursuing degree in information technologies
• Manual or automation test scripting techniques
• Initial knowledge of any programming or scripting language (e.g. Python basics)
• Initial knowledge of user interfaces (e.g. REST API)
• Experiences with defect logging or test management tools
• Understanding version control or continues integration concept
• CI/CD (Jenkins,Azure DevOps)
• Ability to query database (SQL or if MySQL, PostgressQL, TimescaleDB)
• Linux server basics
• Understanding of Cloud technologies (AWS cloud plus)
• Understanding or experience in working in interactive agile teams environment (e.g. SCRUM, SAFe)
• ISTQB / ISEB foundation certificate – Nice to have
• Analytical thinking
• Ability to learn, absorb and apply new knowledge rapidly
• Strong attention for detail
• Proactive approach

This position requires working onsite five days a week.Visa Sponsorship is not available for this position.
