Electrical Engineer adept at Electrical Design, BOM release, and Production and Testing support for Industrial Machineries and Equipment such as Printing, Packaging, Converting, Textile and Paper machineries and discrete product machineries.

  • Executes electrical design tasks with growing independence across design, analysis, and documentation, working under the general guidance of senior/lead engineers.
  • Develops electrical design, drawings and Bill of Materials for defined scopes of work, and participates in design, production, testing, safety, and commissioning reviews.
  • Contributes to design reviews, testing, and production support activities alongside senior team members.

Technical skills:

  • Experience in calculation and selection of Motors, Drives, AC Load calculations, and low and medium voltage switchgear systems, including related protective devices, relays, cables, and associated accessories based on application & design standards, with guidance from senior engineers
  • Working knowledge of low and medium voltage motor control systems (MCC), including solid-state systems
  • Working knowledge of industrial control and protection schemes as they apply to electrical distribution systems and motor controls
  • Hands-on experience preparing single and three-line diagrams, panel IGA & OGA drawings, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams, under supervision, based on technical specifications provided — preferably in Printing, Packaging and Converting Machines
  • Knowledge of the principles of operation and standard electrical maintenance practices as related to electrical switchgear, generators, transformers, and power distribution equipment
  • Knowledge of major OEM motors & emergency standby generators, uninterruptable power supplies, motor controls, generator controls, transformers, and related protective relays
  • Knowledge of materials, components and equipment used in electrical installations
  • Familiar with electrical safety practices and procedures including NFPA70E and OSHA regulations
  • Working knowledge of UL508A, IEC, NEMA, and NEC standards
  • Exposure to designing and testing of Safety Interlocks in compliance with safety standards, with senior engineer review
  • Experience creating symbols, assigning metadata to fields, and creating macros using Zuken E3 / AutoCAD Electrical
  • Exposure to creating and updating functional specifications of machines, with senior engineer support
  • Exposure to risk assessments and SRS documentation, with senior engineer review
  • Knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting (not mandatory, added advantage)
  • Aftermarket/field service support experience is an added advantage, not a core requirement at this level

Mandatory Tool Skills:

  • AutoCAD
  • AdeptE/PromiseE
  • AutoCAD Electrical / Zuken E3
  • MS Office applications (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Industrial Machineries/Equipment and discrete product machinery
  • Experience with Printing, Packaging and Converting Machines OEMs is preferable

Travel:

  • May need to travel up to 10% each year based on requirements.

  • Good documentation preparation and maintenance skills
  • Effort and schedule adherence with quality deliverables under general supervision
  • Contributes to problem-solving on technical issues in machine function alongside senior engineers
  • Applies practical knowledge to routine problems; refers non-routine issues to more experienced team members
  • Coordinates effectively across team boundaries and shares knowledge to strengthen team outcomes
