Brief introduction - Role Summary/Purpose :

We are looking for a Associate/Senior Associate Scientist - Analytical Sciences to join our ambitious team at our IGTeD center. The incumbent in this role will be responsible for end to end planning & implementation in partnership with local & global analytical & product development teams for respective categories for India and other Colgate Zones while being compliant to defined safety, quality & regulatory norms

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Advanced Analytical expertise to Personal Care and Home Care stability projects , Raw materials, global and local analytical and product development project teams and the manufacturing sites across geographies
  • Collaborate with Product development scientists, procurement and suppliers for raw material qualifications, root cause analysis and drafting product specifications
  • Coordinate with external labs and institutes for advanced analytical technique
  • Analyze raw materials, experimental formulas, finished products, competitive products, and troubleshooting samples. Follow written analytical lab procedures from global, experimental methods and published standard or compendia sources.
  • Perform Method development, method validations, Tech transfer to plants
  • Perform and report the results of routine analysis using Analytical Instrumentation in a cGMP environment.
  • Maintain, calibrate, qualify and troubleshoot instrumentation. Maintain accurate, up to date and concise laboratory records.

  • Demonstrate knowledge in the identified scientific field. Stay abreast of the latest technical developments and breakthroughs by drawing on industry contacts, scientific literature, conferences, and patent filings.
  • Build on technical expertise, expanding it in complementary directions. Use technical expertise and creativity to proactively identify potential problems and address them using appropriate resources.
  • Be 100% compliant to all Product Safety, Quality, and Regulatory requirements to operate with cost effectiveness and speed. Practice good documentation practices.

Required Qualifications :

  • Education: M.Sc. in Analytical Science, Inorganic/Organic Chemistry, Bioanalytical Chemistry, or a related scientific field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in an analytical laboratory environment.

  • Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of LCMS, ICP, HPLC, GC, and FTIR.

  • Compliance: Proven working experience operating within cGMP norms and maintaining rigorous documentation practices.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Industry Experience: Previous experience within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or FMCG industry is highly preferred.

  • Communication: Strong business presentation skills and the ability to communicate technical data to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Leadership & Agility: Proven ability to handle complex business programs independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

  • Collaboration: A collaborative mindset with the ability to integrate seamlessly into high-performing, cross-functional teams.
