| What we are looking for
Reporting to the Program Manager, Security Screening, Awareness and Partnerships, the Associate Security Analyst plays a supportive role for the conducting of Payments Canada’s Information Security Awareness Program and Personnel Screening Program. As an ambassador for the organization’s security function, the Associate Security Analyst plays a key role in promoting a culture of security and awareness for all employees. The Associate Security Analyst will regularly communicate and collaborate with employees of other Payments Canada divisions as well as members and user groups.
| A day in the life
Responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
Information Security Awareness Program
• Support the implementation and delivery of Payments Canada’s Information Security Awareness and Education Programs.
• Assist in the development, delivery and maintenance of the Payments Canada Information Security Awareness Programs, which includes: develop bulletins, alerts, and awareness material to advise Payments Canada employees of their role and responsibility for information security; develop and deliver security training.
Personnel Screening
• Support the implementation and operations of Payments Canada personnel security and screening programs.
• Liaise with the Government of Canada Industry Security Program and contracted vendors and third parties as service providers in support of the Clearance program and operational requirements.
| What you need to be successful
• Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in an information security or information risk management capacity.
• Experience in the field of Information Security, development of security policies and practices, developing and operating personnel screening, security awareness and phishing programs will be considered an asset.
• Ability to work outside of regular working hours based on operational requirements.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada Reliability Status Clearance and can successfully complete enhanced background checks that may be carried out by Payments Canada.
• Ability to work in person at the Payments Canada Ottawa office as needed.

• Industry certification (CISA, CGEIT, Project Management certifications, ISO 27001) is considered an asset.
| Salary range
• Based on qualifications and experience: $63,000 to $105,000.
