Responsibilities

  • Become expertly familiar with CellScape workflow and hardware.
  • Routinely conduct experiments as part of innovation and R&D product development agendas.
  • Perform experiments needed for hardware testing and workflow improvement related to multiplex immunofluorescence staining on the CellScape platform.
  • Serve as point of contact for field teams and participate in occasional instrument installations.
  • Collaborate with software team for software testing during instrument development and sustaining.
  • Tissue preparation, including sectioning (FFPE and cryosectioning).
  • Establish and write documentation, SOPs and protocols related to CellScape hardware maintenance and workflow execution.
  • Perform lab experiments according to protocols and SOPs including documentation.
  • Maintains laboratory notebooks, SOP documents and computer databases.
  • Assist with analyzing data.

Qualifications

  • Completed vocational training as BTA/CTA/MTA or Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Optics or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years lab experience in microscopy field or Optics.
  • Experience in testing microscope hardware and microscope calibration is preferred.
  • Programing skills are preferred.
  • Experience to process tissue including sectioning and fixation.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and perform new protocols with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented setting.
  • Capable of independent planning, evaluation and presentation of experiments and data.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • A passion for working with new technologies.
  • A permanent working permit for Germany is necessary.
