Job Description

At Alamar, we are passionate about enabling our customers to make scientific discoveries that translate into clinical outcomes and benefit patients. Our team is growing quickly as we develop innovative approaches to measure critical protein biomarkers from liquid samples that can enable the earliest possible detection of disease. We believe the next frontier in biology is enabled by measuring proteins at higher sensitivity in highly multiplexed assays at the push of a button, which is something only Alamar can do. As we build our team, we seek collaborative, driven, intellectually curious people committed to solving complex challenges. Our culture rewards accountability and cross functional teamwork because we believe this enables the kind of breakthrough thinking that will accelerate our mission.

We are seeking Associate Scientists – Assay Development, with a passion for innovation to join R&D team in Hangzhou City (China) to augment our novel biomarker detection and quantitation capability. You will be working in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects and will be a part of a rapidly growing company to make a big impact in life science research and early disease diagnosis.

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Design, optimize and execute experiments for new biomarker detection.
  • Maintain reagent libraries; maintain accurate records of work performed, including reagents, methodology, and results. Utilize records and calculate, graph, and compile data.
  • Examine the impacts of multiple variables on assay performance and perform troubleshooting as needed.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for product and process improvement.
  • Management and regular maintenance of laboratory instruments and equipment.

Requirements include:

  • B.S. degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or a related discipline.
  • 2+ years hands on experience running and developing immunoassays, such as ELISA, as well as experience generating, analyzing, and reviewing assay data.
  • Knowledge in emerging reagent and immunoassay technologies is essential.
