Job Scope
The Associate Sales Representative (ASR) exceeds sales quota within an assigned territory by delivering Acumed product on time and providing high quality technical assistance in the ORThe ASR assists in the assessment of the customer base to identify new business opportunities andexecutes a targeted sales strategy for each identified opportunity proactively ensuring all leads are followed up on appropriately.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Executebusiness plans toidentifyand closenewbusiness.
- Identifiesthe needs of new prospects and develops/deliversappropriate responsesto meet or exceed needs(written, telephone and face-to-face).
- Performsfieldsalescalls forassignedaccountsand assigned territory including “on-call” andoperating room consultation
- Provides accountswith excellent post-salefollow up(communication and management of delivery dates, in-service training, and coordinates productreplenishment).
- Communicateswith current and new customer accounts regarding a variety of topics including product updates, changes toAcumed’sproduct portfolio andmedicaleducational programs.
- Cross-sellsadditionalproductsand makesnew product introductionsto current and new accountsas they become available.
- Drives customer satisfaction and solves customer problems by addressinganyissues, concerns, orproblems that arise onassignedaccountspromptly
- Maintains customer records in accordance withAcumed specificationsusing the Company’s CRM tool.
- Drives compliance and the principles of responsibility of theAdvaMedcode of conductbymaintainingthe privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to applicable federal,stateand local laws and regulations, accreditation and licenser requirements, and Company’s policies and procedures.
- Obtains training in sales skills and productknowledge
- Gains currentknowledgeonmedical deviceindustry,Acumedcustomers, and competitive trends.
- Actively participatesinand attendstradeshows,sales meetings, promotional activities,and professional association meetingsas needed both inside andoutside of regular business hours
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field (business or medical discipline preferred) or equivalent experience
- 0-2 yearsdemonstratedsuccessful sales experience (Preferablyin the medical device or industry)
- Excellent analytical, writtenand verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with physicians and other surgical personnel
- Experience in building andmaintainingrelationships (with surgeons & hospitals in respective areas)
- Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems
- Must be comfortable in emergency/operating room environments
- Must be able to gain necessary credentialing for hospital access
- Reliable transportation
Credentialing Required:
The responsibilities of this position include frequent surgery visits/observations. The incumbent will be required to obtain hospital-required credentials.
Target Compensation: $60,000.00– $70,000.00
