Pennoni Associates is currently seeking a Associate Roadway Engineer to work in our Philadelphia, PA office to perform the following, but not limited to:
The successful candidate will lead 3D highway/roadway design components associated with transportation improvement projects, locally administered transportation projects, and highway and bridges projects for a variety of clients including PennDOT, private developers, DRPA, DelDOT, and local municipalities and agencies in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
The candidate should have a firm grasp of geometric design, grading and stormwater management, traffic control, signing and the ability to learn new concepts.
An understanding of AASHTO and PennDOT design standards, quantity calculations, cost estimations, and plan creation is beneficial but not required.
The candidate will work with a team of engineers to design new highways and streets as well as rehabilitation of existing highways and streets.
