
The Conceptual Development and Social Cognition Lab at New York University (https://kidconcepts.org) is seeking an Associate Research Scientist (Part-time Non-exempt)
to contribute to research on language and conceptual development. This position will entail contributing to research design, experiment programming and implementation, data collection and analysis, and manuscript preparation, as well as helping to prepare external funding applications.
This position is based in New York and the selected candidate will be expected to work onsite as of their effective start date.
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $26-35/hr for 20 hours per week and up to 27 hours per week. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.
*MA degree in cognitive science or a related field
*Familiarity with relevant literature on language and conceptual development
*Expertise in research design
*Excellent skills in written and oral communication and experience with manuscript and grant preparation
