The Hybrid Nanomaterials Lab in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering (CBE) at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering is seeking to hire a Part Time Associate Research Scientist to join an exciting project on nanocrystal based photon detectors.

Project Focus: Development and fabrication of photodetectors. This project involves the synthesis of colloidal quantum dots and their physical, chemical, structural, optical and electrical characterization followed by fabrication and device characterization of photodetectors.
Expectations:
Candidates will be responsible for initiating and driving a multi-institute collaborative project and perform work in a multidisciplinary environment.

Salary
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rate for this position is $34.34 per hour (approximately 21 hours per week), depending on the candidate’s experience and qualification.
Duration: 6 months with potential of extensions.
