This role will be based in either our San Francisco or Silicon Valley office, but will support both offices and require frequent travel between them. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence, requiring in-office presence the majority of the time.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Managing candidate interviews, correspondence, GPA calculations, and onboarding communication
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with target law schools, career services, student organizations, vendors, and recruitment professionals; serving as the firm's liaison and representing the firm at recruiting and external functions
  • Ensuring compliance with federal and state legislation and best practices, while developing and monitoring budgets, and expenses for outreach and recruiting efforts
  • Collaborating with team members and committees to identify and implement new marketing and promotional strategies, providing administrative support to the Recruiting Committee by preparing recruitment statistics, reports, and presentations
  • Overseeing the work of coordinators, assistants, and interns; providing informal feedback, and supporting the professional development of junior team members
  • Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Display well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively at all organizational levels and lead teams with a customer-service focus
  • Demonstrate advanced organizational and analytical skills to manage time, prioritize tasks, handle multiple deadlines, and supervise others to ensure compliance and accuracy, while using independent judgment for decision-making
  • Exhibit proficiency in Microsoft Office, applicant tracking systems, interview platforms, and other necessary software, with the ability to undertake large projects, develop alternative methods, and implement solutions

And have:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in legal recruitment or professional services
