Examples of duties

1. Assists and instruct customers on the use of public browse terminals, recording software applications and computerized indices.
2. Produces and certifies copies of records upon request.
3. Scans Plats, Condominiums and Deed Record Exhibits into recording software applications.
4. Assists customers in person and by phone with using the County Clerk's website.
5. Assists attorneys, title companies and the public with procedural and recording questions for data retrieval.
6. Processes mail requests.
7. Balances cash registers and prepares daily deposits and accounting reports for Recording Management Staff and the Accounting Manager. Deposits are usually between $1000 and $2000.
8. Performs all cashier duties which includes collecting fees and generating reports.
9. Answers telephone inquiries about recorded documents, fees, policies etc.
10. Assists public with property title questions.
11. Explains the different types of real estate documents, terms and procedures.
12. Maintains a general working knowledge of the agencies and departments that use the escrow system.
13. Makes deposits for customers using Escrow Accounts.
14. Performs all other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one (1) year clerical and customer service experience, and a working knowledge of standard office equipment.
• Must be bondable.
• Must be familiar with the use of a desktop computer and proficient in data entry, keyboarding, and navigating computer applications.
• Must demonstrate adequate verbal and written communication skills, bilingual helpful.
• Must exhibit appropriate office demeanor, be able to work well with others, and have the ability to multi-task in a high-stress environment.

While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, lift, bend, stoop, push and pull.
