We're looking for a Quality Engineer who is responsible for embedding quality engineering practices across multiple delivery teams or squads. The role requires a hands-on quality owner who can operate effectively across different projects or delivery priorities, rapidly switching context while maintaining consistent quality standards and clear oversight of delivery risks.

You'll work as part of Agile engineering team/s, helping ensure that quality, security, performance, and usability are embedded from the start. From API testing and UI automation to CI/CD integration and defect analysis, you'll play a key role in how functionality is delivered across our Corporate Functions technology landscape.

What You'll Do

• Own quality across two or more delivery teams or workstreams.
• Design and execute functional, integration, and regression test scenarios across enterprise applications.
• Collaborate with developers, Product Owners, and Business Analysts to ensure user stories are testable and clearly defined.
• Build and maintain automated test suites and reusable test assets.
• Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps.
• Drive root cause analysis, risk-based testing, and continuous quality improvements.
• Advocate for a quality-first approach across Agile ceremonies and delivery teams.
• Identify opportunities to replace manual testing with scalable automation.

Need to Have – Your Essentials

• 7+ years' experience in Quality Assurance, software testing, or Quality Engineering.
• Strong experience testing APIs, integrations, and service-based applications.
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Cypress, Playwright, REST-assured, Postman, or similar.
• Experience working in Agile environments and applying practices such as BDD, TDD, and Pairing.
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of UI testing across web and mobile applications.
• Experience working with Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, Xray or similar tooling.
• Strong understanding of software delivery lifecycles and quality assurance best practices.
• Experience testing enterprise applications built using modern web technologies and microservices architectures.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Practical experience using AI-assisted engineering tools to support functional testing, test automation and quality analysis.
• Experience with performance and non-functional testing tools such as JMeter.
• Knowledge of cloud environments such as Azure or AWS.
• Experience testing RESTful services and microservices architectures.
• Familiarity with databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Knowledge of JSON, XML, HTML, CSS, SCSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience within banking, financial services, or other regulated industries.
• Exposure to monitoring and testing tools such as Application Insights, Mailpit, or Mailhog.
