Get to Know the Role

As a Public Affairs Associate, You will help develop strategic projects aimed at achieving our social mission through high-impact government relations and public sector partnerships. You will be a vital bridge between our teams and external partners, orchestrating cross-functional projects and advocating for policy agendas that drive changes. You will report into Senior Manager, Public Affairs.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Support development on strategies and projects to achieve our social mission through public affairs activities
• Orchestrate and manage delivery of cross-functional public affairs projects, through collaborations with other local teams and government agencies
• Establish, manage, and build strategic partnerships and relations with relevant government partners and public sector organizations to achieve strategic goals
• You will be our main team support and liaison with government partners
• Support develop strategic engagement plans to advocate our policy agenda
• Coordinate for internal process for PA team

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• 1+ years of experience in consulting / strategic advisory and planning, or work which involve project / partnership management
• Experience working with government, social enterprises, digital platforms is highly preferred
• You have strategic thinking and problem solving skills to support Grab's position and goals, and to overcome roadblocks
• You have project management skills to support execution across departments and organization (including government partners)
• Effective communicator with the ability to engage with senior management and government partners
• You are able to maintain current understanding of public policy issues, current events, and the evolving motivations of public sector partners.
• Motivated to achieve high-quality results through effective problem-solving, a positive professional demeanor, and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Adaptable to local contexts and responsive to shifts in the external environment."
• You can synthesize complex partner interests to lead collaborative solutions and achieve strategic social goals
• You are dedicated to driving positive social and regional outcomes in high-velocity organizational settings
