Mesa seeks an Associate Project Manager who will support EMS delivery by assisting with the planning, coordination, and execution of small to mid-sized EMS software, analytics, and AI services projects. Working under the direction of a Program/Project Manager, the Associate PM helps maintain timelines, facilitate communication, track progress, and ensure alignment across teams. This role is developmental, focusing on learning EMS project delivery processes, customer engagement fundamentals, and cross-functional execution patterns used in delivering solutions.

Responsibilities

The Associate Project Manager is responsible for:

  • Project Support
    • Assisting PMs in preparing schedules, task plans, and project documentation.
    • Monitoring progress on assigned tasks and updating project status systems.
    • Supporting change control activities by documenting impacts and coordinating approvals.
    • Helping facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and coordination meetings.
  • Customer & Team Coordination
    • Participating in customer meetings, documenting decisions, risks, and action items.
    • Supporting communication between EMS teams (data science, software engineering, UI/UX, customer success) and customer stakeholders.
    • Escalating issues or risks to the Project Manager in a timely manner.
  • Financial & Quality Tracking
    • Assisting with tracking budgets, hours, and deliverables against plan.
    • Supporting compliance with EMS quality standards and documentation practices.
    • Contributing to project closeout summaries, lessons learned, and deliverable verification.

Competencies

The Associate Project Manager must have the following competencies or more:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Basic understanding of project management principles and tools.
  • Ability to organize tasks, manage time, and follow through on commitments.
  • Willingness to learn EMS delivery processes, software development rhythms, and data/analytics workflows.
  • Customer-service orientation and professional presence.

Education and Experience

  • AA degree plus 2–4 years of relevant experience OR BS/BA in engineering, computing, analytics, business, or related field with 0–2 years of
    experience.
  • Foundational exposure to project coordination or technical project environments preferred.
