Job Description

Jurong Port’s multipurpose port operating expertise includes efficient handling of general, bulk and containerized cargo, management and operations of the Tuas Offshore Marine Centre, and Lighter Terminals in Penjuru and Marina South. Besides Singapore, Jurong Port is involved in overseas joint ventures in China and Indonesia. In 2016, Jurong Port’s local and overseas terminals handled close to 35 million tons of general and bulk cargo, and 560,000 TEUs of container cargo.

We are looking for a motivated Project Manager to support the successful delivery of Jurong Port’s business and digitalisation initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for a fresh graduate or early-career professional who is keen to build a career in project management, digital transformation, and cross-functional delivery.

In this role, you will work closely with internal teams, business stakeholders, and external partners to coordinate project activities, track timelines, manage documentation, and support the implementation of solutions from planning through go-live and post-implementation review. You will gain hands-on exposure to project delivery processes, stakeholder engagement, and technology-enabled business transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and execution of projects across the full project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to implementation and post-implementation review.
  • Maintain project schedules, action logs, risk registers, status reports, and other project documentation.
  • Coordinate project activities across internal teams, business users, and external vendors to ensure timely delivery of milestones.
  • Track project progress, follow up on action items, and escalate risks or issues where necessary.
  • Assist in preparing project plans, meeting materials, governance updates, and management reports.
  • Support stakeholder communication by ensuring that project updates, decisions, and timelines are clearly documented and shared.
  • Help coordinate key project phases such as requirements gathering, testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), deployment, and handover.
  • Support budget tracking, effort estimation, and monitoring of project-related costs where applicable.
  • Work with project leads and team members to identify process improvements and enhance delivery effectiveness.
  • Assist in ensuring project artefacts and handover documentation are completed in accordance with organisational and SDLC requirements.
  • Participate in project meetings, workshops, and steering discussions, and document key decisions and follow-up actions.
  • Support Agile or Scrum delivery practices where relevant, including task tracking and team coordination.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Internship, academic project, or co-curricular experience in project management, business analysis, product management, technology, or software implementation would be advantageous.
  • Good organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to work with different stakeholder groups.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of project management frameworks, SDLC, Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies.
  • Exposure to digital products, enterprise systems, or software implementation projects is a plus.
  • Agile, Scrum, or project management certifications would be an advantage.
