Job Description

Associate Project Manager

Department: Finance&Operations [DD&IT - IT Proj Exec / Commercial FCNS]

Your impact begins here

As Associate Project Manager, you will lead IT projects that support Clinical, Medical and Regulatory (CMR) teams. You will turn CMR business needs into technology that works, guiding projects through the Software Development Life Cycle while keeping them aligned with GxP, validation and quality requirements. Supporting several initiatives at once, you will help colleagues move forward with systems they can trust – supporting the work that brings treatments to people living with serious chronic diseases.

What you’ll bring

  • Around 8 years of professional experience, including hands-on project management from planning through to delivery.
  • Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders and priorities, keeping plans, risks and decisions clear for everyone involved.
  • An understanding of how IT develops and implements technology through the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to adapt your message to business, IT and quality audiences.
  • Fluent English, written and spoken.

Useful, but not essential:

  • PMP certification.
  • Experience working in GxP-regulated environments, including validation, documentation standards and audit readiness.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry, ideally with Clinical, Medical or Regulatory business processes.

What you’ll do

You will manage IT projects that respond to real CMR business needs – from the first requirement to a validated system in use. You will support several initiatives across the area, owning some end to end and partnering with important stakeholders.

  • Lead projects through the Software Development Life Cycle, from requirements and planning to build, testing, validation and go-live.
  • Translate Clinical, Medical and Regulatory processes and needs into clear project scope, priorities and deliverables.
  • Make sure solutions meet GxP, validation and quality expectations, with documentation that keeps projects audit-ready.
  • Plan schedules, resources and milestones, and manage risks proactively so projects stay on time, in scope and on budget.
  • Keep stakeholders and project governance informed, and speak up early when decisions or progress are stalling.

Who you’ll work with

In Digital Data & IT (DD&IT), colleagues connect commercial strategy, medical affairs and business development across therapy areas, helping guide the Novo portfolio and strengthen competitiveness. In this role, your focus is the technology that supports Clinical, Medical and Regulatory work.

Your closest partners will be CMR business stakeholders, IT colleagues who design and build the systems, and quality and validation specialists. On some projects, you will work side by side with a Senior Project Manager, giving you a close partner as you take on end-to-end ownership.

Your role is to bring these perspectives together, create clarity on priorities and help decisions happen at the right speed.

What you can expect here

You will build broad experience across multiple projects and Clinical, Medical and Regulatory areas – and deepen your knowledge of regulated IT delivery in pharma along the way. You will grow on the job, learning alongside experienced project managers while being trusted to own your projects and make your voice heard.

The work moves at pace and quality matters. You will be part of a team that stays curious, raises the bar and delivers technology people can rely on in their daily routine.

Start now

Your impact begins today. If you are ready to lead IT projects that help Clinical, Medical and Regulatory teams make progress, apply for the Associate Project Manager role by October 9th.

We commit to an inclusive recruitment process and equality of opportunity for all our job applicants.
