We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Construction Project Manager (APM) for Metacomet Construction LLC, an affiliate of Freestone Property Group (APM) to support the execution of renovation, capital improvement, and unit-turn projects across our portfolio.

The APM plays a critical role in ensuring projects run efficiently by coordinating vendors, tracking project progress, managing documentation, and supporting Project Managers with scheduling, communication, and problem solving.

Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination

  • Assist Project Managers in coordinating multiple construction and renovation projects simultaneously
  • Help schedule and sequence trades to ensure projects move efficiently and without delays
  • Coordinate site access, building logistics, and vendor scheduling
  • Track project milestones, timelines, and deliverables

Vendor & Contractor Management

  • Communicate with contractors and vendors to coordinate work and ensure scope alignment
  • Assist with collecting bids, reviewing proposals, and preparing scope summaries
  • Track contractor performance, responsiveness, and schedule adherence
  • Help ensure contractors are following project requirements and expectations

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain organized project documentation including contracts, proposals, change orders, and project notes
  • Track project budgets and assist in monitoring costs against approved scopes
  • Update internal systems with project status, timelines, and key milestones
  • Assist in preparing reports and summaries for leadership

Field Coordination

  • Support field operations by coordinating site visits, inspections, and vendor work
  • Identify potential scheduling conflicts or operational issues before they impact project timelines
  • Help ensure projects maintain progress toward completion targets

Process & Operational Support

  • Assist with maintaining project workflows, checklists, and internal procedures
  • Help identify opportunities to improve project processes and coordination
  • Support the implementation of operational tools and systems used by the construction team

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years experience in construction, project coordination, property management, or related field
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience with renovation, capital improvement, or multifamily construction projects is preferred.
  • Familiarity with project management software or construction documentation is preferred.
  • Experience coordinating contractors or vendors is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Real Estate, or related field is preferred
