ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR (Salary range $58,936.23 - $69,066.51):
SCOPE OF WORK: To educate students in nursing as outlined in a prescribed program curriculum and to provide leadership in development and implementation of departmental and institutional activities that advance the mission of the college. This position shall report to the Chairperson of the Department of Nursing.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Possession of current or active RN licensure and a Master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university with major study in Nursing.
Experience: Five (5) years of teaching experience in nursing, or five (5) years of business or industry experience as a registered nurse, nurse practitioner, or other position directly related to the field of Nursing.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Must have experience in Medical/Surgical Nursing.
License/Certification: Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse within the State of New Hampshire or be eligible for licensure. Must meet the continuing education requirements by the Board of Nursing to maintain continuing licensure. Access to transportation.
RECOMMENDED WORK TRAITS: Thorough knowledge of teaching methods, use of instructional materials and the organization of subject matter into effective teaching units in technology or other specialized programs. Considerable knowledge of the principles, methods, techniques and equipment in subjects being taught. Ability to evaluate student progress and provide guidance to both students and instructors.. Ability to work effectively with businesses and community organizations. Ability to originate and implement new programs and to improve existing programs. Must be willing to maintain appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the college’s appointing authority.

Experience: Six (6) years of teaching experience in nursing, two years of which shall have been in the supervision of students or personnel in educational activities or academic program administration or six (6) years of business or industry experience as a registered nurse, nurse practitioner, or other position directly related to the field of Nursing, two years of which shall have been in the supervision of personnel or program/project administration.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Must have experience in Medical/Surgical Nursing.
License/Certification: Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse within the State of New Hampshire or be eligible for licensure. Must meet the continuing education requirements by the Board of Nursing to maintain continuing licensure. Access to transportation.
