
Associate Production Scientist

PolyPeptide is seeking an Associate Production Scientist to play a key role in translating process development into GMP manufacturing at scale. This is a highly technical, hands-on role where you will bridge development and production, drive process improvements, and ensure successful execution of complex manufacturing campaigns.
In this role, you will support the scale-up of peptide manufacturing processes, ensuring they are robust, efficient, and compliant with cGMP standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to oversee production activities, analyze process performance, and drive continuous improvement from development through commercial manufacturing.
What You’ll Do
Create and refine Master Batch Production Records (MBPRs) for large-scale manufacturing
Support technology transfer from development to GMP production
Provide on-floor technical support during manufacturing campaigns
Analyze process data to drive yield improvements and optimization
Lead and support investigations (OOS, OOT, deviations, CAPA) using root cause analysis
Author and review technical and quality documents (MBPRs, SOPs, risk assessments, PPQ protocols)
Collaborate with Production, QA, QC, Development, and Supply Chain teams
Present project updates to internal and external stakeholders
Identify process bottlenecks and support continuous improvement initiatives
Train operators and support process knowledge transfer
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Engineering, or related field
3+ years of experience in GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing or MS&T
Experience with process scale-up, investigations, and data analysis
Familiarity with SPPS or peptide manufacturing preferred
Experience with HPLC and cGMP processes
